Snow nose

Luka has a case of "snow nose." Coincidentally, it is not due to the 4-8 inches of snow that has been accumulating since last night. Some extensive investigative work (ok, it was the first thing that came up on a Google search) told us that it's normal for lighter-colored breeds to lose pigment in the middle of their nose this time of year. Come spring, when the daylight hours are longer, his nose should be back to all black.

And that's how the snow nose goes.

Crib Notes: Month 8

Today, eight months. Tomorrow, eight years. Time is flying!

Highlights from the last month include:

- Napping, napping, napping -- finally, this little guy has figured out that naps are a wonderful thing. Especially naps longer than 30 minutes and occasionally at grandma's house.

- "da da da da da da ..." (Guess who's loving this.)

- Hair. Lots of it. This kid is like a chia pet. And the hair has a mind of its own. Some days it's standing straight up. Some days it lays flat. All we know is that he's going to need a haircut soon (except for that bald spot from sleeping on his back, but ...)

- Sleeping on the belly isn't so bad either. When he was first learning how to roll, Park would cry out to be put on his back if he wound up on his belly in bed. Now, the kid can roll himself over when he chooses. But for the most part, he seems to enjoy sleeping on his belly with his head up against the rails in a nice pool of drool. Oh, and with a pacifier nearby.

- The pacifier! Could've cared less for this as an infant, but when he hit seven months and we upgraded (finally!) his pacifier to the big kid nuk, he'll take it everywhere and he'll go to bed with no fuss. Park especially loves to show-off how he can take it out of his mouth, turn it around, and put it back in the right way. (Dad and mom are really happy with themselves for getting him attached to something they'll have to take away some day.)

- Got water? After eyeing our glass of water one night at dinner, we gave him a sip and he was hooked. Too bad he can't understand the "no backwash" rule. (Yes, we've tried the sippy cup but he finds it takes too much effort.)

What would the month be without photos?

Like father, like son. Here's junior sporting Craig's winter hat.

Christmas Eve: Park and cousin Hagen discuss whether or not they deserve to be on Santa's "nice" list

Christmas morning: Park and Hagen realize no gift was as fun as the wrapping paper (Park) and stealing the other's gifts (Hagen)

The very thought of posing for another picture puts Maisy to sleep. Luckily, Park and cousin Kailey don't take it personally.

That about sums up the month

Not seen on TV

It hasn't started running yet, but here's a look at the newest WuShock commercial I worked on before the holidays.

Hope you enjoy.
