Frisco
The town of Frisco is a pretty special place to us for a number of reasons. First, Craig spent a lot of time between Frisco, Silverthorne and Dillon as a child and has a lot of really special memories of the place. Second, the Frisco Marina is where we got engaged (although it wasn't the original plan, but fate intervened). Third, it's just a really incredible, beautiful and laid-back town that we like so much we made it Park's middle name.
Breckenridge
Another Summit County Colorado spot that we really like to spend time at in the Summer when the tourists have all headed somewhere else. If you go, be sure to hit up the Crepe cart and the Breckenridge Brewery for a burrito.
Islamorada
So we got engaged in Frisco, but we got married in Islamorada—without ever having been there before. It's another place that just has that laid-back vibe we kind of gravitate to. Outside of just relaxing (and for that we recommend Checca Lodge) the best thing to do here is eat. Don't miss Lazy Days and when you go, be sure to have your fish prepared Lazy Days Style, you'll thank us.
Solana Beach
Several years ago Craig and his brother drove all of the way from Wichita to San Diego, when they got there they ended up hanging out and surfing in the town of Solana Beach about 30 minutes north of the city. Craig describes it as Summit County in the sun and is ready to migrate there each winter.
Yellowstone
It's probably a little trite to have Yellowstone on this list, but let's face it people flock there for a reason. We spent over a week hiking our way through the region and it surpassed all of our expectations.
Jackson Hole
A great starting point if you're headed to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. While it can be a bit swanky it's a wonderful place spend a little time walking around and soaking up the atmosphere.
Santorini
Our biggest regret from our trip to Greece (despite being lampooned on a Russian freighter without clothes for a week) is that we weren't able to spend more time on the island of Santorini. We hope to make it back there someday.
